Taiwan-based computer hardware company ASUS announced its latest motherboard, the Pro Q670M-C-CSM, in a press release in early March. The enterprise-focused Pro Q670 includes an Intel LGA 1700 socket with support for the latest 12th Gen Intel Core processors and is sized in a microATX form factor.

According to ASUS, the Pro Q670M-C-CSM will be available on Newegg by the end of March and will be priced at $179.99.

The Pro Q670 motherboard includes support for the latest 4800MHz DDR5 memory, which provides higher bandwidth than the DDR4, as well as support for PCIe 4.0. The motherboard offers a PCIe 4.0 x16 slot for graphics cards and two M.2 slots for SSDs in PCIe 4.0 x4 mode. It also offers four USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports, an HDMI port, two DisplayPorts, and other connectors as shown in the picture below.

One aspect of the Pro Q670’s business appeal highlighted by ASUS is the company’s Boot Defender technology, which is a security feature that automatically detects and protects the boot environment to aid in recovery from breaches and attacks. The feature works by securing a computer before its operating system is loaded, providing a layer of protection that supersedes what an OS would typically offer. Boot Defender comes with NIST SP 800-193 compliance.

Furthermore, hardware-based security TPM in the motherboard’s design offers additional data protection and network security, including digital identity protection.

ASUS states that its series of motherboards geared for business use come with TCO-optimized solutions for all scenarios. In addition to the Q670, the portfolio includes the B660 and H610, which are used in multiple market sectors and feature enhancements like anti-sulfur resistors and anti-moisture coating to protect against potentially damaging environmental conditions, adding to the motherboards’ longevity. In addition, the company claims that the models are subjected to extensive reliability stress tests in hot, cold and humid conditions.

Businesses might also be interested in the company’s integrated remote management solution with both out-of-band and in-band options. DASH LAN and Intel vPro work with out-of-band management troubleshooting through the chipset even when the motherboard can’t boot up. In addition, customers get a free copy of ASUS Control Center Express when they purchase a motherboard for business. ASUS Control Center Express is a real-time remote IT management application for hardware and software monitoring, multiple device management and security.
